Facilitators

>> Yicheng ‘YC’ Sun

YC leads IDEO's healthcare portfolio, specializing in building digital products and emerging technologies. As a product leader, he uses human-centered design to bring ventures from ideation to market. Some of YC’s market-facing impacts include designing the future of clinical trials experience for underserved populations, improving neurological disease treatment and prevention, and making personal wellbeing engaging through digital interventions in sleep, mental health, and movement. YC is an adjunct professor at Stanford Design School. He teaches "Design for Healthy Behaviors,” a graduate-level course where students apply design thinking alongside patients with chronic conditions to improve their long-term health.

>> Jenna Fizel

As Managing Director of Emerging Technology at IDEO, Jenna is inspired by translating abstract information into tangible experiences. Jenna helps clients explore design questions through building with emerging tools like AI, XR, and digital fabrication. They believe these tools can provide new perspectives during the design process. Jenna leads an 100+ person internal group focused on making technical skills more accessible to IDEO's diverse community. Previously, they were a partner at an agency designing physical/digital spaces for clients. Jenna also co-founded a fashion tech startup and served as CTO of an intimate apparel firm. With an academic background in computational geometry from MIT, they see software as a mode of thinking that solves problems through exploration.

About

At IDEO, we design for healthier human futures—bringing equity, dignity, and joy to every aspect of healthcare. For over 45 years, we’ve worked across the industry, from first-mile health to last-mile care, creating breakthrough products and services, shaping transformative strategies, and building capabilities that move organizations forward. Through human-centered design, we’ve helped reimagine patient-provider experiences and market-defining products—like launching Soluna, a free youth mental health platform with the California Department of Mental Health, designing the at-home pap smear experience with Teal Health, incubating pioneering ventures like Pillpack (now Amazon Pharmacy) and Omada Health and guiding cultural and innovation strategies to some of the most impactful healthcare organizations like Moderna, St. Jude, and Eli Lilly. Join us to explore how design can drive bold, lasting change in healthcare.
